An agency can build a client intent-research service around useful topics, ICP review and clear reporting without promising a rebranded software platform. Define the deliverable, permitted data use, review process and client responsibilities before packaging the service.
MarketPulse is BrandWell’s topic-based intent-data product, with plans starting at $500/mo. A subscription does not automatically establish white-label platform access, exclusivity or every redistribution right. Confirm the applicable agreement for the specific client work you intend to deliver.
Separate a branded service from white-label software
A branded research service might include an agency-prepared topic report, account investigation and recommended next actions. The agency owns the service scope and checks the deliverable before the client sees it.
A white-label software arrangement is different. It can involve a rebranded interface, client logins, domains, notifications, billing and support. Those capabilities and commercial rights must be established explicitly; an agency logo on a report does not prove they are included.
Do not describe MarketPulse as a complete reseller platform simply because it can support client research. Keep the service you perform separate from the software capabilities and rights actually available.
Define a useful client deliverable
For a fictional agency serving local IT providers, a monthly research deliverable could include an approved topic definition, ICP criteria, reviewed account candidates, unresolved cases and a short campaign recommendation.
- Scope: the client, market, service area and agreed research task.
- Evidence: relevant topics, dates, source context and available fields.
- Review: fit checks, exclusions and information still unknown.
- Action: a useful next step supported by the evidence and permissions.
- Report: what was delivered, accepted and acted on, with limitations.
Avoid promising guaranteed meetings or revenue. Research can identify useful candidates without proving that each one has an active buying project, authority or budget.
Prepare the research in MarketPulse
In MarketPulse, search available topics, apply the client’s ICP and inspect matching people and companies. Choose topics that fit the actual offer rather than the largest audience count.

An Intent Scan retrieves available data from the previous 24 hours. Plan allowances govern topics, refreshes and exports. Counts, coverage and available fields vary, and audiences can overlap.
AIMEE can assist through configured tools and workflows. Confirm the supported operation and destination, then review the result. Other product access, channel usage and fulfillment can have separate costs.
TrafficID concerns visitors to the client’s own website and is a separate product. Keep website activity distinct from MarketPulse topic research when explaining the evidence.
Agree on rights and responsibilities
Document which client may receive which deliverable, what uses are allowed and how access, retention and corrections work. Confirm any report branding, raw-data sharing, client account access or redistribution you plan to offer.
Keep each client’s records and permissions separate. Name who reviews facts, approves the next action and handles requests or errors. Contact availability does not establish permission for every channel or ad-platform upload.
The UK ICO’s B2B marketing guidance explains that obligations can depend on the channel and recipient type, and that personal-data requirements can apply in a business context. The page is UK-specific and states that it is under review after legislative changes. Check current requirements for the actual market and use.
Price the work from real costs
Include the relevant software allocation, research, review, reporting, support and other delivery costs. A subscription price alone is not the full cost of an agency service.
For an original fictional example, a monthly package allocates $200 in software cost, four agency hours valued internally at $75/hour and $50 in other delivery costs. Total delivery cost is $550. At a $1,000 client fee, $450 remains before taxes, sales costs and other overhead, or 45% of the fee.
If another two support hours are needed, cost becomes $700 and the remaining amount is $300, or 30%. These figures are illustrative, not recommended prices or margin benchmarks. The software allocation assumes the client use is permitted under the applicable agreement.
Use a clear reporting structure
Report the original candidate count, records reviewed, accepted fit, rejected fit and unresolved cases. Explain why a record was accepted. Keep research delivery separate from outreach, responses and qualified outcomes.
In an original fictional weekly report, 60 candidates might produce 35 accepted, 15 rejected and ten unresolved cases. That is 58.3% accepted against the original group. It does not mean 58.3% are guaranteed buyers.
If the client later creates an opportunity, record the relevant evidence and dates. Association with a researched record is not proof that the service caused the opportunity. Use a suitable comparison for stronger outcome claims where practical.
Run one scoped pilot before expanding
Choose one client, market and research task. Agree on the acceptance criteria, deliverable and review schedule. Measure the actual operator time and exceptions rather than forecasting from a best-case demonstration.
At close, review whether the client understood the report and could use the recommended next action. Decide whether to refine the topic, improve the process, collect more evidence or stop. The agency pilot guide provides additional fit and quality checks.
Frequently asked questions
Does an agency service require a white-label portal?
No. A clearly scoped research or reporting service can be useful without rebranding the software. Establish any software branding or client-access rights separately.
Can we share or resell every export?
Do not assume that. Review the applicable agreement and intended client use before making the offer.
What should we promise clients?
Promise the defined work, review and reporting you can deliver. Do not guarantee buyer readiness, meetings or revenue from a research signal.
Where can we review the current product?
Visit the MarketPulse demo and current plans, then define a client task and evaluate a relevant topic and ICP.
