The best contact-level intent data platform for a B2B team is the one that fits its evidence requirements, audience and operating process. Compare what was observed, how a person was associated with it, how recent it is and what the team can do with the record.

A named contact is not proof that the person is buying. Contact-level intent can describe different evidence models, and a contact appended to an account-level signal is not the same as a directly observed person-level interaction.

Compare the evidence model first

Keep these questions separate before comparing price or record volume:

  • Behavior: what topic or activity was observed?
  • Identity: is the person directly known, matched or only a relevant appended contact?
  • Company: how is the employer associated with the person?
  • Freshness: when was the activity observed and delivered?
  • Fit: does the record meet your actual audience criteria?
  • Use: what does the collection context and agreement permit?

Ask for representative records and supporting context. A valid email does not independently establish that the person performed the research. A correct company match does not establish role, authority or purchase readiness.

Contact-level and account-level signals serve different jobs

Account research can be useful when the next action is learning about a company. A person-level record may support a more focused review, but its identity association still needs to be understood. Known first-party engagement is another evidence model with its own context.

Use the detail needed for the task. Do not turn an account signal plus a contact list into a claim that every listed person researched the topic. Keep the observed behavior and the proposed next step distinct.

Original evidence-review example

For a hypothetical IT-services campaign, a company-level signal suggests migration research and a contact list includes an operations manager. The review note can say the account may warrant investigation. It cannot establish that the operations manager performed the research or has an active budget.

If a separate record associates a profile with a topic, review the actual match context, recency and employer information before deciding what to do. These examples illustrate evidence distinctions; they are not measured provider results.

Review MarketPulse in current BrandWell

MarketPulse supports topic-based intent research. Search for topics relevant to what you sell, apply ICP filters and review available people and company details. Audience sizes and available fields vary, and audiences can overlap.

Standard MarketPulse monthly plans

  • Starter: One topic with weekly refreshes and up to 25,000 monthly contact exports.
  • Growth: Three topics with daily refreshes and up to 100,000 monthly contact exports.
  • Scale: Ten topics with daily refreshes and unlimited contact exports.

An Intent Scan retrieves available data from the previous 24 hours for one topic. Daily use across all included topics gives 90 Growth pulls or 300 Scale pulls in a 30-day month. Weekly Starter pulls depend on the calendar period. Refreshes stop at the plan limit without overage charges.

At full use in that illustrative 30-day month, standard Growth pricing is about $5.56 per pull ($500 divided by 90), and standard Scale pricing is about $3.33 per pull ($1,000 divided by 300). These are cost-per-pull calculations, not a guaranteed price per unique or qualified person. Overlap and filters affect the available audience.

Any eligible early-access discount is a separate offer shown to the recipient. Review the current product plans and actual offer before choosing. Connected products, channel usage and fulfillment may cost extra.

Test the sample against your actual audience

Define geography, company type, role and exclusions before reviewing a sample. Include target and non-target accounts, current customers and ambiguous records. Inspect company and person associations separately.

Record why a sample is accepted, rejected or unresolved. Useful reasons include stale information, unsuitable role, duplicate record, uncertain employer or missing topic context. Do not hide unresolved records inside an aggregate score.

  • Specify the evidence required for the next action.
  • Review representative records rather than only selected highlights.
  • Apply current-customer and other relevant exclusions.
  • Check duplication, corrections and the available destination.
  • Assign an owner for review and the approved next step.

Confirm use and delivery separately

Inspect the actual export, integration or configured action needed for your workflow. Check fields, duplicates and correction handling. A product description does not establish that every API, CRM connection or client-delivery model is included.

The UK ICO’s data-broker guidance recommends diligence about source, collection context, age and rights handling. It is UK-specific and currently marked as under review, not a certification of any provider.

Keep collection context, permitted processing and outreach-channel requirements distinct. A contact record is not permission for every channel. Review the requirements applicable to the actual use.

Measure useful outcomes rather than raw volume

Track returned records, accepted audience fit, approved actions and qualified outcomes separately. Define the period and denominator before interpreting the result. Record corrections and rejected matches as part of the evaluation.

In an original hypothetical sample, 100 returned records produce 60 accepted records, 25 rejected records and 15 unresolved records. Report each state. The accepted-record rate is 60%, not 85% merely because unresolved records were not rejected. These invented numbers are not MarketPulse benchmarks.

Compare the workflow cost with the accepted work and business outcomes you actually observe. Do not attribute every later purchase to an intent signal or count opportunities that were already active as new signal-created demand.

Build a clear client deliverable

A service business can scope client work around topic selection, audience review, available pulls and exports, reporting and approved follow-up. Keep each client’s data use, exclusions and service scope clear. A subscription does not establish exclusive access to a market or every resale right.

Use AIMEE to help research accounts and prepare approved work through configured tools and permissions. Growth and Scale include AIMEE for the initial user. Confirm the exact actions and review requirements before execution.

Common questions

Does contact-level intent prove purchase readiness?

No. Review the observed behavior, identity association, freshness and audience fit separately.

Is cost per pull the same as cost per qualified lead?

No. A pull is a topic refresh. Audience size, overlap and qualification determine the useful records for your workflow.

Should a team always choose person-level data?

No. Choose the evidence and identity detail required for the actual next action.
