AI tools can help affiliate marketers research, organize and draft content, but product claims, disclosures and results still need review. Choose a workflow around a specific task rather than assuming automation will increase commissions. Keep first-hand experience separate from information summarized from a merchant’s documentation.

For a business publishing workflow, BrandWell’s RankWell supports planning, drafting and editing. Your affiliate tracking, program rules and payouts remain separate systems unless you have verified a particular connection.

Start with a useful audience question

Identify what the reader needs to decide: whether a product fits a use case, how to use it, or which constraints matter. Use customer questions and keyword research to investigate the language. Search estimates and generated topic ideas do not prove demand or conversion potential.

A narrow, useful guide is preferable to a generic list filled with unverified “best” labels. Record the basis for every recommendation and the audience for whom it is appropriate.

Create a source and experience record

  • Product facts: source link, date checked, scope and relevant limitations.
  • Your experience: what you tested, the conditions, original photos or records and observed results.
  • Unverified: claims you cannot yet support and should not publish as facts.
  • Relationship: commission, free product, sponsorship or other material connection.
  • Maintenance: who checks price, availability, links and program terms later.

Do not invent a hands-on review from a product page. A writing assistant can prepare an outline or summarize supplied material, but it cannot turn missing evidence into a genuine test.

Draft and review in RankWell

Prepare a brief with the audience, question, source records, original observations and appropriate next step. Use RankWell to develop and review the article. Inspect the argument, examples, media, sources and search preview before approving publication.

Check that the draft distinguishes a merchant’s claim from your observation. Remove unsupported revenue promises and broad guarantees. An SEO recommendation score does not validate the review or guarantee rankings.

Disclose the relationship clearly

The FTC’s disclosure guidance says material connections should be easy to notice and understand near the endorsement. A disclosure hidden only on a profile page or behind extra clicks may be missed.

For an affiliate link, explain the commission relationship clearly in the relevant context. Video endorsements need an appropriate in-video disclosure; do not assume a description alone reaches everyone watching. Follow the rules applicable to the actual channel and audience.

Disclosing a relationship does not permit a fabricated experience or unsupported performance claim. Keep both the disclosure and the underlying review accurate.

Original example: turn a specification into an honest review

Suppose a merchant’s documentation lists a device’s battery capacity, but you have not tested its runtime. This is a hypothetical editorial example.

  • Supported: report the documented capacity with its source and date.
  • Unsupported: say the device lasted through your workday when no test occurred.
  • Useful addition: explain which compatibility or charging questions a buyer should verify.
  • Next research step: plan a documented runtime test with conditions recorded.

If you later conduct the test, publish the method and observed outcome, with its limits. Do not generalize one test into a guarantee for every customer.

Use review guidance without copying a formula

Google’s review guidance recommends useful evidence, relevant decision factors and explanations of benefits and drawbacks. Apply that to the product you actually know. Repeating a template with no supporting research does not make a review helpful.

Use original photos where appropriate and label illustrations. Do not generate a product demonstration that implies a test you never performed.

Keep tracking and execution bounded

Verify affiliate links, permitted promotional channels, attribution windows and payout rules in the actual program. Do not assume GA4 includes every commission or automatically replaces affiliate reporting.

AIMEE can support approved tasks through configured tools and access. Review the message, links, disclosure and destination before execution. Do not assume an automatic connection to an affiliate network, bidding system or fraud-detection service.

Measure the full economics

Track relevant visits and link clicks separately from verified commissions. Account for refunds, reversals, content costs and paid distribution where they apply. Use consistent reporting periods and distinguish estimates from settled revenue.

Evaluate time saved across research, drafting, editing and maintenance. A faster first draft does not establish higher profit. Revisit outdated facts and broken links rather than using automation to multiply unsupported recommendations.
