What this workflow does

When someone joins a mailing audience, it fills a missing address from the company office and checks it with USPS. Good addresses are saved in the normalized format, and bad ones are held before they cost you a postcard.

Why it works. An $0.018 check is far cheaper than a $1.02 postcard that never arrives.

Nothing is sent. Bad addresses are held before mailing.

How it works

It starts: When someone joins your mailing audience, or run on an audience now.

  1. 1

    Has a street address?

If yes, it goes on to "Check the address with USPS". If no, it goes on to "Use the company's office address".

  2. 2

    Use the company's office address

Adds company details such as size, industry and website.

  3. 3

    Check the address with USPS

Runs a BrandWell data lookup and brings the result back into the workflow.

  4. 4

    Deliverable?

If yes, it goes on to "Save the USPS-normalized address". If no, it goes on to "Hold their postcard".

  5. 5

    Save the USPS-normalized address

Saves what was found onto the record.

  6. 6

    Hold their postcard

Cancels the postcard before it mails.

  7. 7

    Mark the address for review

Saves what was found onto the record.

What you need

  • Workflow Wallet funds for paid lookups
  • Direct Mail in your BrandWell plan
  • A Direct Mail campaign
  • An audience

What it costs

Each postcard is personalized, printed and mailed, and charged only when it ships.

  • Assumes Direct Mail is already enabled in your plan. Subscription fees are separate.
  • Execution estimates are not a total campaign price. External tool subscriptions, model usage, advertising spend and delivery costs are separate unless explicitly itemized.

$1.39 typical per 100 addresses checked, up to $7.66

Free sources and LeadFuze data run first. Paid lookups only fill the rest, and misses are free on most sources. Estimates use current customer prices.
