What this workflow does

When an email bounces, it stops the sequence right away. Hard bounces mark the address invalid and tag the contact; soft bounces get their own tag so you can retry later.

Why it works. Sending again to a bad address hurts every other email from that mailbox, so the fastest stop protects deliverability.

Nothing is sent. Sequences stop automatically.

How it works

It starts: Each time an email bounces, or when a bounce or complaint is reported.

  1. 1

    Stop the sequence

Stops the sequence so no one is contacted twice.

  2. 2

    Hard bounce?

If yes, it goes on to "Mark the address invalid". If no, it goes on to "Tag as a soft bounce".

  3. 3

    Mark the address invalid

Saves what was found onto the record.

  4. 4

    Tag as a soft bounce

Tags the contact so you can find and filter them later.

  5. 5

    Tag as bounced

Tags the contact so you can find and filter them later.

What it costs

Uses what is already in your plan. Nothing is charged per result.
